How Imran’s resume is built

Gulf format

Imran Qureshi is a fictional site supervisor in Dubai, written with the Gulf preset. That adds a personal details block with nationality, visa status, date of birth and driving licence, which UAE contractors usually ask for because they affect mobilisation. Languages get their own short table; on a site with mixed crews, Urdu and basic Arabic alongside English are a real point in his favour. The NEBOSH certificate sits in its own section where an HSE manager will find it.

How the bullets are built

Each line under the current job answers a question a project manager would ask. How big? A 32-storey tower with up to 280 workers on site. On time? The podium and 12 floors were delivered 3 weeks ahead of programme. Safe? 1.8 million man-hours without a lost-time injury, tied to the toolbox talks he runs. The foreman role keeps one bullet about the crews and project type, since the reader cares most about the latest decade.

Length

Gulf CVs often run to two pages or more. Site keeps one line per job heading, so eleven years still reads quickly. Add a project list on a second page only if you are applying for a larger scheme and need to show similar work.

Construction site supervisor resume questions

Should my CV state my visa status?

In the UAE and the rest of the Gulf, yes. Employers want to know whether you need sponsorship or a visa transfer, and the Gulf preset shows it in the personal details block.

How do I show a safety record on a site supervisor CV?

Give a figure you can stand behind, such as man-hours without a lost-time injury, and say what you did to get it. Put your NEBOSH or IOSH certificate in its own section.

Should I add a photo?

Photos are common on Gulf CVs, but Dossier's templates do not support them yet. The CV reads in full without one.
