Free tools / Resume bullet point generatorNo. 007

Turn a duty into a resume bullet with a result.

Paste a weak bullet, or say what you did, what changed and by how much. You get the same achievement written up to four ways. Nothing leaves this tab unless you ask for an AI polish.

Swap the opening verb

A keyword the job post asks for, if you used it.

Start with a verb: raised, cut, saved, grew.

A percentage, an amount, or a before and after: "from 12 days to 4".

Type what you did, or paste a bullet from your resume. Rewrites appear here as you type.

How this works

  • Weak openers such as "responsible for", "helped with" and "worked on" are removed, and a leading -ing verb becomes past tense, so every bullet starts with what you did.
  • The same facts are then arranged four ways: action then result, result first (the XYZ formula), a short version under one line, and a version that names the tool first for keyword searches.
  • No number? The tool says so. Recruiters skim, and a number is what stops the skim. An honest estimate is fine.
  • Everything runs in your browser. Polish with AI is optional, capped per day, and rejects any rewrite that adds a number you did not give it.

Questions

What makes a good resume bullet point?
It starts with a past-tense verb for what you did, names the tool if the job post asks for it, and ends with what changed, ideally with a number. One line, under about 200 characters.
What is the XYZ formula for resume bullets?
Accomplished X, as measured by Y, by doing Z. The Result first version in this tool follows it: the outcome and number come first, then what you did.
What if I do not have numbers?
Estimate honestly and say so: about 30 tickets a day, roughly 5 hours a week. You can also count people, sites, clients or documents. A bullet with a fair estimate beats one with none.
Does the AI make up numbers?
No. The rule-based drafts only use your words. The optional AI polish rejects any rewrite that adds a number you did not type.
