Free tools / Resume summary generatorNo. 006

A resume summary that says what you do and proves it.

Five short answers, four summaries. Each one puts who you are, one result and your tools in the order a recruiter reads. Your answers stay in this browser tab.

Where you are now

Separate with commas. Use the words from the job post.

Start with a verb. A number makes it stronger.

Start with the job you want. Summaries appear here as you type.

How this works

  • Each summary follows the order a recruiter reads in: who you are, one result, then the skills the job asks for. The shapes change the order, so you can pick the one that leads with your strongest point.
  • The career stage changes the wording. Students lead with what they study and a project, career changers name the field they come from, and senior people lead with scope.
  • Type a common job title and the tool offers skills and tools from our keyword lists for that role. Only add the ones you can talk about in an interview.
  • The drafts are written in your browser from your own words. Polish with AI sends one draft to a language model for a smoother rewrite. It keeps your facts, and any rewrite with a number you did not type is thrown away.

Questions

What should a resume summary say?
Three things in two or three sentences: the job you do or want, one result with a number, and the skills the job post asks for. Leave out adjectives like passionate or hard-working, which every applicant uses.
How long should a resume summary be?
Two or three sentences, roughly 40 to 80 words. A recruiter reads the top of the page first, so it has to be quick to scan.
Is this summary generator really free?
Yes. The four drafts are written in your browser, free and unlimited, with no sign-up. The optional AI polish has a small daily limit.
Should I use a resume summary or an objective?
A summary. An objective says what you want; a summary says what you offer. Students can write a summary too, using a project in place of a work result.
