Using Atelier
Why the name carries the colour
A creative resume is a first sample of judgement. One accent on the name and nothing else shows restraint, and keeps the page parseable: no icons, bars or images.
How to fill it
Put your portfolio link first in links. Write bullets as outcomes: completion rates, launches, awards, sales. Keep tools to the sidebar under labels such as Design and Prototyping.
When to pick another
If you apply through a strict corporate portal, Ledger or Modern are safer. If type is the point, Specimen keeps one column.
Words to use
The layout is half of it. For the terms recruiters search for, see the keyword lists for ux designer, graphic designer and content writer resumes.
About Atelier
Should a designer's resume be colourful?
One accent is enough. Let the portfolio show range; the resume should show clarity.
Where does the portfolio link go?
First in your links, with a short label such as your domain. It appears in the header as a clickable link.
Is the sidebar read correctly?
In our tests the main column came out before the sidebar on every sample. The dated results are on this page.
